Spite sunborne

Sunborne is an action-packed top-down game that takes place in a world controlled by an evil hog that feeds on human sacrifices. Players take on the role of the resurrected spirit of the sungod, tasked with ending the reign of terror and freeing the enslaved populace.

This ambitious project was developed over a period of 14 weeks, with a daily work schedule of 4 hours. As a key contributor to the project, my responsibilities included developing character effects, designing and implementing user interface shaders, and creating environmental special effects. Although we encountered several challenges during development, such as our engine not being ready for use until the last few weeks, we were able to overcome these obstacles through our team's hard work and dedication.

One of the most significant challenges was understanding the limitations of our engine and creating HLSL shaders that met our deadlines while ensuring that they worked seamlessly with our game mechanics. However, with careful planning and efficient teamwork, we were able to create an engaging and immersive gaming experience that truly captivates players.

Overall, the development of Spite: Sunborne was a remarkable feat of teamwork and dedication. Despite the challenges we faced, we were able to create a compelling and entertaining game that showcases our team's skills and creativity.
